6 months experience in a care setting in the UK (within the last 2 years)

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• To ensure timely and effective communication is maintained with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to achieve planned goals.
• Administer and order medicines as required by the home in accordance with the homes’ policies and procedures.
• Work within the NMC codes of conduct and scope of practice and within the homes’ policies and procedures.
• Provide support and professional supervision to care staff and nursing staff as appropriate.
• Ensure effective communication with relatives and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure confidentiality regarding all aspects of care and management of the home is maintained.

Pearson Anderson are currently recruiting experienced health care assistants and support workers for our clients in Northampton, Northamptonshire.

As a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker:

• Your role will be to support people in their daily lives and this can include personal care of either gender to their wishes. Personal care may involve assisting people to take a bath or shower, going to the toilet and take or manage their own medication
• Provide support, including (but not limited to) help with personal care, budgeting, shopping, cleaning, cooking, laundry and assistance with medication.
• You will also support in engaging in social activities and assisting the person to maintain relationships with family and friends and being active in their community including employment or study.
• Maximise and promote each individuals independence, choice, dignity and privacy.
• Provide support in all daily living activities to suit the needs and wishes of the individuals, keeping them healthy and safe

Requirements

• Current DBS certificate registered with Update Service (or we can help you apply for a new).
• In-date Mandatory/Care Training Certificates.
• Can obtain 2 references.
• Right to work.
• Health care assistant experience.
• Driving Licence (preferred as some locations are rural with limited public transport).
